Set up the workspace around your company.

Manage company details, user access, job types, pipelines, fields, and record recovery.

Screenshots use example records. Select any image to enlarge it. Your company’s fields, permissions, and configuration may differ.

Start with the company profile

Open System settings → Company profile. Review the company identity, contact information, logo, and regional defaults. These details support the way your company appears in the workspace and customer documents.

  1. Open Company profile and enter the legal company name, display name, and business contact details. Use Upload logo to choose your company’s logo.

Give people the access they need

Use Users & access to manage members, invitations, teams, and departments. Review Roles & permissions before assigning a role. Record visibility, editing, company administration, and access to internal costs can be separate permissions. An invitation still needs to be accepted before a new person can use their account.

  1. Review the intended role in Roles & permissions first. In Users & access, enter the teammate’s email and select that role. Review both before sending the invitation.

The invitation form takes an email address and role. This example is prepared but has not been sent.

Configure the work in a useful order

Company-wide setup works best when the record vocabulary is settled before reusable templates are built.

  1. Define Job types for the work you sell and deliver, along with customer and opportunity sources.

Use + Add job type, then enter its label, description, and color.

  2. Review sales, project, and service pipelines and stages. Keep each process understandable to the people using it.
  3. Set up Calendar & resources for the departments, people, and crews you schedule.
  4. Review Company Fields and required information for customer, opportunity, project, and service records.
  5. Publish the document and project flow templates your team needs, then configure their defaults.

Choose customer-facing defaults

Customer portal settings control defaults and required visibility for supported quotes, payments, calendar events, and files. Review the effect of a company-wide setting before saving it, then check the relevant records. Internal notes and cost information should remain in the employee workspace.

  1. Open System settings → Customer portal. Review each record category’s Default on and Force customer portal entry controls before saving. Required visibility changes what employees can change on individual records.

Find archived or deleted records

Check Archived records for archived work and Restore data for supported deleted records. Restore options depend on record type and your permissions. Archiving, deleting, and permanently purging information have different effects; contact support if a record cannot be recovered through the available controls.

When a setting is unavailable

Check that you are in the correct organization and that your role allows the change. Some features also require provider setup or plan access. Ask the company administrator to review the restriction instead of sharing another employee’s login.
